In proud collaboration with the late Doddie Weir OBE, Schalk Burger & Sons and Sporting Wine Club created Doddie’5 Red Blend — a magnificent Cape Bordeaux-style wine crafted to support the fight against Motor Neurone Disease. While Doddie is no longer with us, his spirit, strength, and legacy live on in every bottle.

This exceptional blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot is a true expression of harmony — where each variety contributes to a wine that is far greater than the sum of its parts. Bold, elegant, and full of character, it’s a fitting tribute to a remarkable man.
